Oswaldtwistle School is a 95-place secondary alternative provision school for young people who require something additional or alternative to the core that is offered by the mainstream sector. We aim to provide each student with a highly personalised learning experience, that will help remove any existing ‘barriers’ to learning whilst encouraging participation and achievement.

"A Fresh Start for Our Daughter"

Our daughter found her time at Oswaldtwistle School to be a positive experience. The staff worked hard to rebuild her confidence and engage her in learning. We are grateful for the inclusive environment and the range of activities offered, including the bug hotels project.

"Mixed Feelings About Our Experience"

Our child has attended Oswaldtwistle School for a year now, and while we appreciate the efforts of the staff, we feel that progress has been slow. The school has some great facilities, such as the car park and the playground, but we have had some issues with communication and consistency in the lessons.

"A Life-Changing Experience for Our Son"

My son joined Oswaldtwistle School after struggling in his mainstream education. The personalized approach and nurturing environment have transformed him into a confident and motivated learner. We appreciate the dedication of the staff and the opportunities provided, such as the Forest Schools program.
