About Altrincham Grammar School for Boys

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a vastly rewarding environment to grow and develop in, if you have the courage to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone. It takes courage to stand up and perform on the stage in Musical Theatre, pick up a Rugby ball for the first time or speak in front of your peers in debating. This central idea of courage is what I think defines any student who walks these halls and wears a green blazer.

"Fantastic Facilities and Courageous Culture"

As a parent of a year 10 student, I'm constantly impressed by the facilities and opportunities available to the boys. The Rugby team's recent tour was a highlight and the school's emphasis on courage and resilience is really helping my son to grow. Highly recommend AGSB!

"Fantastic Start to Secondary School"

AGSB has been a fantastic start to secondary school for my son - the facilities are amazing and the staff are all so supportive. The Welcome Information Evening was really helpful in getting us prepared for the year ahead. Can't wait to see how he progresses!

"Amazing Support for Music and Sport"

My son is thriving at AGSB - he's really found his passion for music and the school's support has been fantastic. The rugby team's recent wins are also a testament to the school's commitment to sport. Can't speak highly enough of the staff and facilities.

"Great Education, but could be more flexible"

My son attended AGSB a few years ago and I was very happy with his education. However, I sometimes think the school could be more flexible with its approach to learning - my son found some of the homework a bit too much. Still, overall a great experience!
