About Central Primary School

We are a 2-11 school with approximately 700 pupils on roll, proudly serving a fantastic community in Ashington, Northumberland. It is our belief that all children can succeed, and we are relentlessly focussed on enabling our children to achieve academically, as well as celebrating personal success.

"Fantastic School Experience"

We've had our children at Central Primary for over 3 years now and the experience has been fantastic. The values of the school really shine through in the way the staff interact with the children and each other. My child's confidence has grown significantly and they're making great progress academically.

"Generally Positive but Room for Improvement"

We've had a generally positive experience at Central Primary. My child loves their teacher and the school's commitment to values is great to see. However, we've had some issues with communication and a few unexpected changes to the curriculum. Overall, we're happy but would like to see some improvements.

"Excellent Care and Support"

We were very impressed with the care and support my child received at Central Primary. The staff were always very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure my child felt included and supported. The SEND department were particularly wonderful and played a big role in helping my child thrive.
