About Bakewell Methodist Academy

We are a small, friendly school situated in the historic Peak District town of Bakewell. Our curriculum has been designed to ensure every child can thrive and flourish. Our ethos is that all children and adults, in all aspects of school life, be kind, inclusive and courageous.

"Best decision ever"

We moved to Bakewell and had concerns about finding a good school, but Bakewell Methodist Academy has exceeded our expectations. The staff are kind and caring, and the curriculum is engaging and well-structured. We love the emphasis on kindness and inclusivity, it's a breath of fresh air!

"Fantastic school"

Our child attended Bakewell Methodist Academy for 3 years and had an amazing experience. The teachers were supportive, the facilities were great and the values of the school really resonated with us. We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful community.

"Mixed feelings"

We've had a mixed experience at Bakewell Methodist Academy. The PE program is fantastic and our child loves the after-school clubs, but we've found the communication between teachers and parents to be a bit patchy at times. We're hoping to see some improvements in the coming year.
