Lift Pioneer

Lift Pioneer is a special school located in Basildon, Essex, serving students aged 3 to 19 with a range of learning difficulties. The school was formed in September 2003 through the amalgamation of Elmbrook School and Moat House School, both of which previously operated on Church Road. In January 2009, Lift Pioneer moved into a purpose-built facility, and a new wing was added in September 2011, funded by the Building Schools for the Future programme. These developments have provided state-of-the-art facilities tailored to support a broad and ambitious curriculum, including specialist spaces for therapy, life skills, and vocational learning. In June 2012, the school became part of Lift Schools, a national group committed to delivering high-quality education to every student. Lift Pioneer is recognized for its inclusive ethos and commitment to supporting students with complex needs.
