Aston University Mathematics School

Aston University Mathematics School (AUMS) is a specialist sixth form college located in Birmingham's Innovation Quarter, opening in September 2025. It is the only University Mathematics School in the West Midlands and the ninth in the UK. The school focuses on delivering a world-class education in mathematics, physics, and computer science to students aged 16 to 19 who are passionate about these fields. Students study A-levels in mathematics and further mathematics alongside options such as physics, computer science, chemistry, economics, and biology. The curriculum is designed to empower talented young mathematicians and scientists with bespoke teaching and dedicated weekly sessions on problem solving and communication skills. The school also offers tailored guidance through its Aston destinations program, preparing students for university and career pathways.
