About Our Place School

Our Place School is a small Independent Special School, approved to educate children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), aged 8 years up to the age of 19 years. The children are genuinely at the heart of all we do, and each individual's needs are carefully built into a tailored curriculum to ensure they meet their aims and aspirations whilst feeling safe and valued within the school community.

"Room for Improvement"

We've had a mixed experience at Our Place School. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, but we've struggled with consistency and communication at times. The school's facilities are lovely, but we feel that some of the values and programs could be better implemented to really support our child's needs.

"Life-Changing Experience for Our Son"

We cannot speak highly enough of Our Place School. The staff are kind, understanding, and dedicated to helping our son reach his full potential. The forest school and outdoor activities have been a game-changer for him, and we've seen a huge increase in his confidence and independence.

"A Home Away from Home"

Our Place School has been a godsend for our family. The staff genuinely care about each child as an individual, and the sense of community is palpable. The school's commitment to inclusivity and diversity has been amazing to see, and we feel so lucky to have found a place that truly understands our child's needs.

"A Positive Experience"

We had a positive experience at Our Place School, which was a huge relief after our child struggled at their previous school. The staff were helpful and supportive, and the school's focus on outdoor learning was a great benefit. However, we did feel that communication could be improved at times.
