About Highley Community Primary School

Highley Community Primary School is a happy school where we aim to maximise each learning opportunity and celebrate children’s successes every step of the way. We are the only school in Highley and are very much at the centre of the community. We aim to celebrate our surroundings and we learn about the history of the school and wider local area including the Severn Valley, and also the village’s rich mining heritage.

"A wonderful school experience!"

We've had a fantastic time at Highley Community Primary School. The teachers have been amazing, really supportive and encouraging. We love the focus on the 3 Rs - respect, resilience and relationships - it's so refreshing to see a school prioritizing these values.

"Excellent care and education"

We're so impressed with the care and education our child has received at Highley. The staff are always available to talk and the open door policy is great. We love the ironbridge forest school program too - it's fantastic to see the kids learning outdoors.

"Some ups and downs"

My child attended Highley a few years ago and we had mixed experiences. Some teachers were excellent, while others were less so. We did appreciate the local heritage focus, though - it's great that the school encourages kids to learn about the local area.
