About Birdwell Primary School

We are a vibrant and welcoming stand-alone primary academy school based in Long Ashton, North Somerset. With around 400 pupils from pre-school to Year 6, our vision is to engage and inspire children through a broad and balanced curriculum.

"Love the Forest School!"

We've been so impressed with Birdwell Primary School since my child started. The Forest School is a highlight - she comes home every week telling me about the adventures she's had and the amazing things she's learned. The teachers are all so supportive and caring, and the facilities are fantastic.

"Great values and community"

My kids loved their time at Birdwell Primary School. The values of kindness, respect and responsibility are really embedded in the school culture, and the community is so welcoming. The PTA is very active and does a great job of organizing events and activities for the parents and kids.

"Excellent facilities"

We chose Birdwell Primary School for its excellent facilities and wide range of extracurricular activities. My child has really thrived here and loves the sports and music programs. However, I do think the school could work on improving communication with parents - sometimes it's hard to get up-to-date information on what's going on.

"Wonderful start to education"

My child has just started at Birdwell Primary School and we couldn't be happier. The staff are all so welcoming and the facilities are amazing - especially the woodland teaching spaces! The school has a really warm and inclusive atmosphere, and we feel like we've made the right choice for our little one.
