About Rigby Hall Day Special School

Rigby Hall School is an all-age Special School providing education for children between the ages of 4 and 19 with a wide range of learning difficulties. We cater for the needs of our pupils within different pathways and different curriculum areas. Our values of ‘Respect’, ‘Acceptance’, Valuing Difference’ and ‘Encouragement’ enable our pupils to have the opportunities and skills to ‘Explore, Learn and Grow’ in a safe environment.

"Excellent school and staff"

My daughter has been at Rigby Hall for a year now and we couldn't be happier. The staff are so caring and supportive, and the facilities are amazing. We love the values the school promotes, especially the emphasis on mutual respect.

"Rigby Hall is a hidden gem"

My son has been at Rigby Hall for a year and we're really pleased with the progress he's made. The school's focus on individual liberty and mutual respect has been especially helpful for him, and the staff are always willing to listen and adapt to his needs.

"Wonderful school with dedicated staff"

We were so impressed with the school's Widgit Centre and how it helped our son with his communication skills. The staff were always willing to help and support us, and the school's values of respect and acceptance really shone through.

"Some improvements needed but overall a good school"

We've been at Rigby Hall for a couple of years now and while we appreciate the school's efforts to promote British values, we feel that the school could do more to engage with parents and keep us informed about what's going on. The staff are generally good, but we've had some issues with communication in the past.
