About Bures Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School

We are a small rural primary school. We take children from the ages of four to eleven and serve Bures and surrounding villages, although we welcome applications from families from the wider community. Through the caring attitude of the staff and through close co-operation between parents and teachers we have created a learning environment, which is secure, happy, friendly and stimulating.

"Our Bures experience has been amazing!"

Having moved to the area last year, we were a bit nervous about finding a good school for our daughter. But Bures CEVC Primary has exceeded all our expectations. The 'family feel' we've heard so much about is very real - the staff are friendly and approachable, and the kids all seem to get along. We're so grateful to have found this little gem!

"Wonderful school, caring staff"

My son attended Bures CEVC Primary from Reception to Year 6, and we couldn't be happier with the education and care he received. The staff were always supportive and went above and beyond to help with any issues that arose. The facilities are great, with plenty of space for the kids to play and learn. We've already recommended the school to friends and family.

"A bit of a mixed experience"

We've had a bit of a rollercoaster ride at Bures CEVC Primary so far - our child has settled in well, but we've had a few issues with communication from the school. However, the staff are lovely and really care about the kids. It's just a shame that the admissions process was a bit more complicated than we'd have liked. Still, we're hopeful that things will settle down soon!
