About Sir James Smith's School

Sir James Smith's School in North Cornwall was the first purpose built comprehensive school in Cornwall. Sir Jim’s (as it has affectionately been known) is unique in its identity as a small school set in the coastal community of Camelford and beyond, between the moors and the ocean.

"An Amazing School Experience"

My son has had an incredible time at Sir James Smith's School! The teachers are supportive, the facilities are excellent, and the values of the school really shine through. I'm so grateful to have made the right choice for his education.

"A Great All-Rounder"

I'm really impressed with the balanced approach to education at Sir James Smith's. The PSHE lessons have helped my daughter develop important life skills, and the work experience programme has given her valuable industry insights. Keep up the great work!

"Some Good, Some Not So Good"

My daughter has had a mixed experience so far at Sir James Smith's. The teachers are generally great, but the school's handling of SEND support could be better. I'm hoping to see some improvements in this area soon.
