About James Rennie School

We are an outstanding school for pupils aged 3-19 who have severe or profound learning needs and live in the North of Cumbria. We have specialism in communication which supports all our pupils make outstanding progress. Our school community is all inclusive and looks to push each individual as far as they can go.

"Wonderful Community and Support"

I'm so grateful to the James Rennie School community for the love and support my child has received since joining. The staff are amazing and always go above and beyond to ensure each child's needs are met. I particularly appreciate the emphasis on communication and the inclusive environment.

"Good Experience, Room for Improvement"

While my child's time at James Rennie School was generally positive, we faced some challenges with communication between teachers and parents. However, the school's focus on inclusion and communication is admirable, and I appreciate the efforts they made to support my child's development.
