About Woodlea Primary School

Woodlea Primary School aims to provide children with the knowledge and skills needed to flourish as they prepare for life in secondary school and beyond. The curriculum is balanced and broad, and is underpinned by the National Curriculum (2014). We have a strong focus on early reading, where we learn to read through phonics.

"Wonderful School with Great Staff"

I've been really impressed with the school's approach to education and the staff are always friendly and supportive. My child loves attending Woodlea and I feel confident they're getting a great education.

"Some Great Aspects, but Room for Improvement"

We've had a mixed experience at Woodlea so far. The school's approach to reading is great, but I wish they'd focus more on outdoor activities and sports. Facilities are also a bit basic compared to other schools in the area.

"Fantastic School Community!"

We've been at Woodlea for 2 years now and I'm so impressed with the school's values and the way the teachers engage with the kids. My child has thrived since starting here and the facilities are great too!

"Excellent Phonics Program"

As a former parent, I was blown away by the phonics program at Woodlea. My child was behind on reading but the school's approach helped them catch up quickly. Highly recommend!
