Emerald Place Clinic School (EPCS)

Emerald Place Clinic School (EPCS) is an Ofsted-registered special school located within Emerald Place Clinic in Charlwood, Surrey, United Kingdom. The school serves young people aged 13-18 who are receiving inpatient mental health treatment at the clinic. It provides individualized education programmes tailored to meet each student's needs, with flexible attendance expectations determined by medical staff based on the student's health status. The school enables young people to continue their education while undergoing treatment for acute mental health conditions and complex needs, facilitating smoother re-integration and transition back to their home communities upon discharge. The clinic itself opened in March 2024 and represents the first inpatient mental health facility for adolescents in Surrey in over 10 years.
