About Fordwater School, Chichester

Fordwater School caters for pupils aged 2 – 19 years with severe and complex learning needs. We have an experienced and committed team who are dedicated to high standards of education, care and supporting pupils to regulate. We aim to make the learning experience fun with a specially designed personalised curriculum that meets the specific needs of each individual.

"Exceptional education and care"

I couldn't be more grateful for the education and care that our child has received at Fordwater School. The school's commitment to Preparation for Adulthood is impressive and has helped our child develop valuable skills. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and dedicated to supporting our child's needs.

"Mixed experiences"

We've had a mixed experience at Fordwater School so far. Our child has benefited from the school's focus on 'relentless positivity' and the staff are generally friendly and approachable. However, we've encountered some communication issues and would like to see more opportunities for parental involvement. Overall, we're pleased with the school's efforts but feel there's room for improvement.

"Wonderful school!"

We've been at Fordwater School for three years now and it has been a truly life-changing experience for our child. The hydrotherapy pool and sensory rooms have been particularly beneficial for their development. We love the school's focus on 'relentless positivity' and the positive relationships between staff and pupils are truly inspiring.

"A loving and inclusive community"

We were part of the Fordwater School community for six years and it was a truly wonderful experience. The school's values of empathy, respect and kindness are evident in every aspect of the school. Our child thrived in a supportive environment that celebrated their individuality. We miss the school dearly and are grateful for the memories.
