About Portesbery School

Portesbery is an all-age day school (3 to 19 years) catering for children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). We have provision for a total of 142 pupils at the school.

"Portesbery School - A Home Away from Home"

I have been blown away by the love and care that the staff at Portesbery School show my child. The facilities are excellent, and the values of the school really resonate with me. I have seen my child grow and thrive in such a supportive environment.

"A Mixed Experience"

We have had a mixed experience at Portesbery School. The staff are generally very friendly and supportive, but we have had some issues with communication and consistency. Our child has really enjoyed the animal-assisted therapy program, though!

"A Special Place for Our Child"

We were so sad to leave Portesbery School when our child moved to the next stage of their education. The school's commitment to inclusivity and community engagement is truly inspiring. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Portesbery family.
