Ysgol Y Castell

Ysgol y Castell is a Welsh medium primary school located in the small town of Rhuddlan, Denbighshire, near Hylas Lane. The school opened in September 1995 in response to growing demand from parents for Welsh medium education, initially starting with 118 children. It serves pupils aged three to eleven years, with an approximate enrollment of around 200 students. The school is known for fostering a happy and caring environment where pupils work and play together confidently, with a strong focus on pupils' well-being. The school is situated in an area rich with historical significance, near the site of medieval and Norman archaeological remains and close to Rhuddlan Castle, adding a unique cultural context to its location.
