About Oakwood Junior School

We aim to provide a warm, welcoming and supportive environment in which our pupils develop a lifelong love of learning. We want the children to be happy and excited about coming to school to learn and to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding through a rich curriculum that celebrates diversity.

"Outstanding School with Outstanding Staff"

My child has been at Oakwood Junior School for a year now and it has been a game-changer. The staff are so supportive and caring, they make sure my child feels included and valued every single day. The values of the school, kindness, respect, and resilience, are truly embedded in everything they do. I couldn't be happier with our choice.

"A Truly Special School"

Oakwood Junior School is truly a special place. My child has thrived since starting here and the teachers are always available to discuss progress. The residential trip to Lea Green was an unforgettable experience for my child and the Holocaust Museum visit was incredibly impactful. I'm so grateful to have found this school.

"Great School, a Few Issues with Communication"

I'm very pleased with the education my child has received at Oakwood Junior School. The values of the school are fantastic and the staff are generally very supportive. However, I sometimes find it difficult to get a response from the school when I have a query. Overall, I would highly recommend the school, but with a few tweaks to the communication channels.

"Still Missing the School"

My children are now at secondary school, but I still miss Oakwood Junior School. The open and approachable nature of the staff, the emphasis on kindness and respect, and the fantastic facilities all made for a wonderful experience. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to send my children to such a wonderful school.
