XP East

XP East is a secondary school located in Doncaster, United Kingdom, and is part of the XP Trust, which operates multiple schools across the region. The school opened in 2017 as the second Expeditionary Learning school in the UK, following the success of XP School. XP East serves students aged 11-16, with deliberately sized cohorts of 250 students in Key Stages 3 and 4, plus an additional 100 student places available at Post 16. The school is situated next to XP School to form a unified campus at Middle Bank. Like other XP Trust schools, XP East delivers its curriculum through cross-curricular expeditions focused on either STEAM or humanities, with each expedition centered around a driving question linked to real-world issues. The school employs an advanced pastoral system called Crew, where small groups of students are paired with the same staff member throughout their time at the school, providing intensive pastoral and peer support. XP East achieved full capacity in 2023 and maintains the same rigorous academic standards and innovative teaching practices as its sister school.
