About Durham Sixth Form Centre

Durham Sixth Form Centre is a diverse and vibrant community of over 1800 students, who have enrolled with us from over sixty different secondary schools from County Durham and further afield. With over 30 A Levels and almost 20 vocational qualifications, we have one of the broadest curriculum offers in the area. Our courses are delivered and led by specialist staff, who have expertise in working with 16-19 year olds and, as our results testify, we have an excellent track record of academic success.

"A great experience for my daughter"

I've been impressed with the level of support and guidance my daughter has received at Durham Sixth Form Centre. The teachers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and the facilities are excellent. We've also appreciated the opportunities for extra-curricular activities and careers guidance.

"Excellent preparation for university"

My son attended Durham Sixth Form Centre a few years ago and it really prepared him well for university life. The teachers were great at helping him develop his academic skills and the facilities were well-maintained. I was also impressed with the careers guidance he received.

"Some positives and negatives"

We've had a mixed experience with Durham Sixth Form Centre. On the positive side, the teachers have been supportive and the facilities are good. However, there have been some issues with communication and organisation, which have caused us some stress. We're hoping that things will improve in the second year.
