Pen-Y-Cwm Special School

Pen-Y-Cwm Special School is a mixed-gender special school located on Strand Annealing Lane in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent. It provides education and care for children and young people with special educational needs, including post-16 provision. The school aims to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment where every learner is supported by staff from arrival onwards. It collaborates closely with health professionals, including site-based Children's Community Nurses, to meet the additional health needs of its students. The school has undergone expansions to better serve learners and families in the surrounding areas such as Abertillery, Blaina, Brynmawr, Nantyglo, and Tredegar. Pen-Y-Cwm focuses on preparing learners for life achievements through tailored education and supportive care.
