About Northgate School

Northgate School is a local authority-maintained pupil referral unit for young people with mental health challenges who are unable to access their mainstream provision. We meet every young person where they are and support them on their learning journey. Our students are taught in small groups with a high student to staff ratio and small class sizes.

"A Mixed Experience at Northgate"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience with Northgate. On the one hand, the staff are really dedicated to helping our child overcome their mental health challenges. On the other hand, we've struggled to get consistent feedback on their progress, and the communication could be better. Overall, I think Northgate is a great school for some kids, but it might not be the best fit for everyone.

"Northgate School: A Lifeline for My Child"

I've seen a huge turnaround in my child's mental health and well-being since they started at Northgate. The staff are caring, understanding, and truly invested in their students' success. The facilities are great, and the fact that they're based at the Edgware Community Hospital is a huge plus for my child's comfort.

"Northgate School: A Personalized Approach"

We were really struggling to find a school that could meet our child's unique needs, but Northgate was a game-changer. The staff worked with us to create a personalized curriculum that tailored to their strengths and interests. We're so grateful for the progress they made while at the school.
