About Shellingford Church of England (Voluntary Aided) School

We are a beautiful, rural primary school providing excellent education for children between the ages of four and eleven. Founded in 1873, the school used to be based in a cottage opposite the church until 1966. Our school motto “Inspiring hearts and minds” is intrinsic to school life.

"Wonderful School Experience"

We have been thoroughly impressed with Shellingford CE Primary School. The teachers are kind and supportive, the facilities are excellent and the school's values are something we really appreciate. Our child is thriving in this happy and nurturing environment.

"Good but Room for Improvement"

We have mixed feelings about Shellingford CE Primary School. The school's rural setting and lovely facilities are definite positives, but we have sometimes felt that our child has been a bit forgotten in larger classes. Overall, it's a good school but could do with a bit more attention to individual needs.

"A Great Place to Learn"

My children attended Shellingford CE Primary School a few years ago and we were always pleased with the education they received. The school's commitment to its Christian values and the strong links with the local community are definite strengths. I would highly recommend it.
