About Galley Hill Primary School

Galley Hill is situated in generous and pleasant grounds on the south western edge of Guisborough, close to the boundary of the North York Moors National Park. With stunning views of the Guisborough hills from many of the classrooms. The building is designed to be flexible in use and contains a mixture of large and smaller teaching areas.

"A Home Away From Home!"

We've been absolutely delighted with Galley Hill Primary School. The 'Zen Den' is a wonderful space for the children to relax and unwind, and the staff are always so supportive and caring. Emily and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful community for our little one to grow and thrive.

"Great School, Some Room for Improvement"

We've been really happy with Galley Hill Primary so far, the facilities are fantastic and the staff are always approachable. Our child loves the OPAL play-based learning approach and has made some great friends. However, we do think that the communication from the school could be a bit better, especially for parents who don't have access to email or social media.

"A True Community Spirit!"

I was a parent here when my child was in reception and I have to say it's a truly special place. The staff are so dedicated to the children's well-being and the facilities are top-notch. The 'Zen Den' is a genius idea - it really helps the children relax and focus. We loved every minute of our time here and will always be grateful for the wonderful experiences our child had.
