Avocet House provides a high quality group living experience within a warm and welcoming domestic setting. The property is big enough to enable a feeling of a large family and community whilst being domestic in scale and feel. We adopt a “no limits” philosophy and have a passionate conviction that all our young people are able to achieve.

"Room for Improvement, but Potential"

We've had a mixed experience at Avocet House. On the one hand, the staff are friendly and our child has made some good friends. However, we feel that the curriculum could be more engaging and challenging. The facility's layout is lovely, but we've had some issues with maintenance and upkeep. Overall, we're hopeful that our child will continue to grow and thrive here.

"Our Son's Journey to Independence"

We were blown away by the warm and welcoming environment at Avocet House. The staff's 'no limits' approach really resonated with us and our son has thrived under their care. The facility's layout is perfect for a small group of children to feel comfortable and supported. We're so grateful for the progress our son has made and the skills he's acquired.

"A Fresh Start for Our Child"

We were hesitant to send our child to a new school, but Avocet House has been a game-changer. The therapeutic approach and focus on positive psychology have helped our child develop essential life skills and build confidence. The staff are dedicated and understanding, always willing to listen and adapt their support. We're so proud of the person our child has become.
