About Purwell Primary School

Purwell is a small, inclusive, nurturing, and family orientated one-form entry school. The school is built on a hilltop overlooking Hitchin within the community of Purwell. We place a great deal of emphasis on our partnership with parents.

"Room for Improvement"

We've been pretty happy with our experience at Purwell so far, but there are a few areas where we feel the school could improve. The communication with parents could be better, and we've had some issues with the online system. However, the staff are lovely and the kids seem to be learning a lot.

"A Home Away from Home"

We've been blown away by the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Purwell. The staff are truly dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that makes our children feel safe and happy. We love the emphasis on community and the opportunities for parents to get involved.

"Excellent Education and Facilities"

Our children had a fantastic time at Purwell. The school's focus on individuality and creativity really shone through in the curriculum and extra-curricular activities. The facilities are top-notch and the teachers are always pushing the kids to reach their full potential.
