Pivot Academy

Pivot Academy is a specialist independent provision located in Kirklees with additional sites in Leeds, serving young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The school operates as a therapeutic provision for Key Stages 2-5, supporting students with profound or complex conditions. Pivot Academy features multiple specialized provisions including Technology House and Salus House, each offering tailored support with low student-to-staff ratios (3 adults per class of up to 8 students). The curriculum is focused on developing the whole learner, working with individual interests to engage students in education and support their transition to adulthood. The school works closely with local authorities and Education Health Care Plans to provide appropriate placements for students with complex needs.
