About Thorns Community Infant School

Thorns Community Infant School has 180 children between the ages of four and seven. The school is housed in a spacious building with extensive grounds for the children to learn and play. We place a great importance on learning key skills, developing a healthy lifestyle, making friendships and building self-confidence and a sense of self-respect.

"Outstanding School Experience"

We have been thoroughly impressed with the facilities at Thorns Community Infant School, particularly the Forest School programme which has really helped our child develop their independence. The values of the school align with our own and we feel lucky to have found such a supportive and inclusive community.

"Some mixed feelings"

We have been pleased with the progress our child has made at Thorns Community Infant School, but we have also experienced some issues with communication from the teachers. The facilities are excellent, particularly the swimming pool, but we feel that the school could improve on its parent-teacher relationships.

"Excellent Care and Education"

Our son attended Thorns Community Infant School from Reception to Year 2 and we were consistently impressed with the care and education he received. The school's emphasis on developing a healthy lifestyle and building self-confidence really helped him grow into a confident and happy child.
