About Horton St Michael's CofE First School

A small, rural, Church of England First School and Nursery set in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands. We are proud to be a part of SUAT (Staffordshire University Academies Trust) and the Lichfield Diocese. Our vision is to celebrate the individuality and uniqueness of everyone within The Saints and wider communities, living God’s love through our chosen Christian Values.

"A sense of community and learning"

My child loves going to Horton St Michael's and we're so grateful for the sense of community and learning that the school provides. The Christian values are evident throughout and we appreciate the emphasis on outdoor education.

"A hidden gem in the countryside!"

We've been so impressed with Horton St Michael's from the moment our children started. The outdoor education is fantastic and the woodland area is a child's paradise. The staff are caring and dedicated, and we feel so lucky to have found this school.

"Good, but some areas for improvement"

We've been generally happy with Horton St Michael's, but sometimes feel that the school could be more proactive in communicating with parents. The outdoor education is a highlight, but we've had some issues with the after-school clubs.

"A loving and nurturing environment"

We moved to the area a few years ago and our children attended Horton St Michael's from Reception to Year 2. We were so impressed with the loving and nurturing environment that the school provided. The staff were always available to offer support and guidance.
