About Desford Community Primary School

Desford Primary School is a vibrant and flourishing school at the heart of the village community. We have around 380 pupils in thirteen classes and are in the midst of significant growth due to large-scale house building in the village. Our children are nurtured, kept safe and are well cared for.

"Desford has been a wonderful choice for our children"

We moved to the area recently and were impressed by the warm welcome we received from the school. The facilities are excellent and our child has thrived in the supportive environment. We particularly appreciate the emphasis on teamwork and resilience.

"Excellent school with a caring community"

We love Desford Primary! The teachers are dedicated and the children are happy and engaged. The community garden is a wonderful resource and the school's commitment to inclusion is impressive.

"Good school with some areas for improvement"

We have mixed feelings about our experience at Desford. The school has a great atmosphere and the staff are generally friendly. However, we felt that the curriculum could be more engaging and there were sometimes issues with communication between teachers and parents.
