About The Winstanley School

The Winstanley School is a small school of 640 students at the heart of the Braunstone Town community. We are part of the LiFE MAT Academy Trust and work closely with the schools in the trust. Our school is a big family where everyone is known personally.

"Mixed Feelings About Winstanley"

I'm not sure how to rate Winstanley, my child has had some great experiences but also some challenging ones. The teachers are generally kind and supportive but sometimes the communication with parents could be better. The facilities are excellent and the SHINE values are inspiring, but I wish the school would do more to involve parents in the decision-making process.

"A True Community School"

My child has thrived at Winstanley, the staff and teachers are supportive and caring. The SHINE values are instilled in the students and it's lovely to see them in action. The facilities are also excellent, the SHINE Centre is a wonderful resource for students with SEMH needs.

"A School That Truly Cares"

We moved our child to Winstanley from another school and it was the best decision we ever made. The teachers are dedicated and passionate, the school values are inspiring and the community is warm and welcoming. We have fond memories of our time at Winstanley.

"A Great Foundation for My Child"

My child is still young but I'm already impressed with the school's approach to learning and its emphasis on the SHINE values. The PE lessons are also very engaging, my child loves the swimming program. The school's focus on inclusivity and social justice is also something I appreciate.
