"A New Start at Waterside"

We were recommended Waterside Academy by a friend who has a son here, and we are so grateful for the advice. The school has given our son a fresh start, with a supportive and inclusive environment that has really helped him grow. The school dog is a lovely addition, and the Grim Tales writing competition was a great way for the kids to express themselves creatively.

"Good Support for Difficult Times"

I was initially worried about sending my son to Waterside, given his past struggles in a mainstream school. However, the staff have been fantastic, providing individualised support and helping him develop strategies to manage his emotions. The Operation Gears bike safety campaign was a great initiative, and the school's focus on alternative education has helped my son find his strengths.

"Mixed Experience"

We had a good experience at Waterside Academy, but there were some ups and downs. The school's commitment to RSHE and personal development is commendable, and the school dog is a lovely touch. However, we found the communication with teachers sometimes patchy, and the transition process from one year group to another could be smoother.
