About Portman Early Childhood Centre

Portman Nursery School is a community school for 2-4 years olds. We want to see a world where the lives and opportunities of young people and their families are transformed through the very best early education and care. We believe that children can only achieve their potential if the school has the support and active involvement of parents and carers.

"Exceptional care and learning environment"

We've been so impressed with Portman Early Childhood Centre. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the facilities are fantastic. We love how they involve parents in our child's learning journey - it really feels like a partnership. My child has grown so much since starting here!

"Supportive and inclusive community"

My child has been at Portman for a year now, and we've had a great experience. The staff are incredibly supportive and inclusive - they really make you feel like part of the community. We love the drop-in sessions and the opportunities for adult education. Our child is thriving!

"Mixed experience"

We had a mixed experience at Portman Early Childhood Centre. On the one hand, the staff were always friendly and seemed to care about our child's well-being. However, we did find the communication from the school to be a bit inconsistent at times. Overall, it was an okay experience, but not outstanding.
