About Hardwick House School

Hardwick House School is an independent specialist provision located in the university town of Loughborough which caters for children and young people with a diagnosis and an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The philosophy of Hardwick House School is to put the needs of its learners first. The teaching approach is learner-centered and, although access to the National Curriculum is in place, we believe its principal focus should be on the special learning difficulties associated with autism.

"A Home Away from Home"

My daughter has been at Hardwick House for three years now and it's been an absolute game-changer for our family. The school's ethos is all about creating a sense of community and belonging, and that's exactly what we've experienced. The staff are like family to us, and we feel grateful to be a part of the Hardwick House community.

"Life Changing School"

I have two children at Hardwick House and I can honestly say it's been a lifesaver for us. The staff are caring, understanding, and truly put the needs of each individual child first. My children have flourished and made incredible progress since joining the school.

"Happy and Supported"

My son has been at Hardwick House for two years now and we couldn't be happier with the progress he's made. The school's focus on social communication and wider key skills has really helped him build confidence and make friends. We feel supported every step of the way.

"Mixed Feelings"

We had our son at Hardwick House for a year before he moved on to another school. While the staff were caring and the facilities were excellent, we felt that the school didn't quite meet our expectations in terms of academic progress. That being said, our son did develop some valuable social skills and we appreciated the emphasis on individualised learning.
