About Laurus Ryecroft

Laurus Ryecroft is a secondary free school for 11-18 year old students in Tameside. The school is run by the Laurus Trust and was graded ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in its first ever report. Laurus Ryecroft is a non-selective, non-denominational free school.

"Laurus Ryecroft Helped My Child Succeed"

I have nothing but positive things to say about Laurus Ryecroft. My child moved on to the Sixth Form last year and is doing amazingly well. The school's support and guidance helped her develop a love of learning and she's now considering a career in STEM.

"Mixed Experience"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience at Laurus Ryecroft. My child loves the Cornerstones program and the football partnership with Manchester City is great. However, we've had some issues with communication between teachers and parents - sometimes it feels like we're not getting the information we need in a timely manner.

"Excellent Academic Environment"

My daughter is really thriving at Laurus Ryecroft. The teachers are supportive and the facilities are top-notch. I love how the school encourages leadership and service - she's taken part in several community projects and grown so much as a result.

"Exceptional School with Fantastic Values"

We're really enjoying our time at Laurus Ryecroft. The school's focus on academic aspiration, leadership, and culture has helped my child settle in quickly and make friends easily. The teachers are friendly and approachable, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained.
