About The Lowry Academy

The Lowry Academy is a popular 11-16 school in Little Hulton, Salford. We take our name from the local artist L.S Lowry, who is famous for paintings which capture scenes of industrial England. As part of United Learning, our aim is to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ and we continuously strive to ensure that students and staff here have every opportunity to do so.

"Excellent facilities and values"

We've been very impressed with the facilities at The Lowry Academy. The communication from the school is excellent and the weekly newsletter is very informative. The values of the school align with our own and we've seen a positive impact on our child's attitude to learning.

"Fantastic community and support"

The Lowry Academy has a wonderful community feel and the staff are always willing to offer support when needed. My child has really thrived in the Grammar Stream and we're grateful for the opportunities provided.

"Generally a good experience"

We had a good experience at The Lowry Academy overall, but there were times when we felt the communication could be improved. The facilities are excellent and the values of the school are commendable. My child did well in the academic stream, but sometimes struggled with behaviour.
