About Overfields Primary School

Overfields Primary School is a part of the Ironstone Academy Trust. We have a Speech and language unit which provides quality teaching and SEND support for pupils from across Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough local authorities. We strive to admit children from their 3rd birthday.

"Love the School's Approach to Learning"

We're really enjoying our time at Overfields so far. The way the school approaches learning is excellent - our child loves the focus on creativity and critical thinking. The school's commitment to safeguarding and staying safe online is also a huge relief as a parent. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that we've had a bit of trouble getting in touch with the office sometimes.

"Overwhelmingly Positive Experience"

We're so grateful to have our children at Overfields. The staff are warm, welcoming and truly dedicated to their work. Our child has thrived in the Speech and Language unit and it's been amazing to see their confidence grow. The facilities are excellent and the values of the school are something we truly admire.

"Great School, Some Areas for Improvement"

I have two children who attended Overfields and we were generally very happy with the school. The teachers are great and the school's focus on Ironstone Values is really admirable. However, I did feel that the school could do more to keep parents informed about what's going on. We had a few instances where we were left wondering what was happening with our child's learning.
