Ysgol Carreg Hir

Ysgol Carreg Hir is a primary school located on Old Road, Briton Ferry, Neath, Wales. It was formed in 2018 as an amalgamation of three existing primary schools in the Briton Ferry area. The school serves approximately 420 pupils with an additional 30-place nursery. It is a nurturing school with a strong sense of community and belonging, offering bespoke support for all pupils including those with individual needs. The school has a strong Welsh language ethos, with effective development of pupils' Welsh-speaking and listening skills. The curriculum includes a wide range of learning opportunities, educational visits, and extensive after-school clubs such as football, fitness, and outdoor learning to support pupil development and self-confidence. The school site includes its own playing fields and a large playground.
