About Cedars - Newcastle, Moorlands and Darwin Bases

Cedars provides educational pathways for pupils and students who live in the Newcastle District or Moorlands District of Staffordshire who are not attending mainstream school. We also provide education for children who reside at the Darwin Base, a CAMHS tier 4 inpatient unit at the University Hospital North Staffordshire. Pupils and students arrive at CEDARS for a variety of reasons, if you visit you will find children, students and staff who are caring and committed, who value high quality education.

"An amazing school for our little one!"

We have been so impressed with the education and care that Cedars has provided for our child. The staff are dedicated, caring and always go the extra mile to support their students. We feel so lucky to have found this school and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing and supportive environment.

"Friendly and welcoming"

We visited Cedars to discuss our child's placement and were immediately put at ease by the friendly and welcoming staff. The facilities are top-notch and the emphasis on safeguarding and online safety is reassuring. Our child has settled in well and we are grateful for the support we've received.

"Mixed feelings about our experience"

We had a mixed experience with Cedars. The staff were always willing to listen and help our child, but we had some concerns about the consistency of the care and support provided. The school's commitment to safeguarding and online safety is clear, but we felt that this wasn't always reflected in practice. Overall, we're grateful for the support we received, but would have liked to see more consistency and follow-through.
