About Milecastle Primary School

Milecastle Primary School is a one form entry primary school with a PAN of 210 children starting from Reception up to Year 6. We currently do not have nursery provision within school. Our mission is for our community to be excited about and love learning.

"Some ups and downs"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience at Milecastle so far. The teachers are all great, but there have been a few issues with communication and organisation at times. The school's values of love of learning and teamwork are really important to us, but we feel that these haven't always been consistently applied.

"Pleased with school progress"

We've been really pleased with the progress my child has made at Milecastle. The class blogs are a great way to keep up with what's going on in the classroom, and we love seeing the photos and updates. The school's facilities are also great - the playground is so well-maintained.

"Fantastic school for my child"

I've been so impressed with Milecastle Primary. The teachers are all so supportive and enthusiastic, and the value of love of learning is really evident. My child is thriving in the school's nurturing environment. The school's focus on house points and competitions is also a great motivator.

"Lovely school, great staff"

We loved Milecastle when my child was here - the staff were always so friendly and approachable. The school's use of technology, such as the ParentMail app, was really helpful for keeping in touch. One of the things I particularly appreciated was the focus on community and teamwork.
