About Kings Meadow School

Kings Meadow School is a special school which caters for pupils who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties, including associated challenging behaviours. We strive to create a community that seeks to understand the young people we cater for, helping them connect, reflect and grow. We believe that children should be encouraged to develop positive views towards themselves, each other, and the wider community of which they are part.

"Transformative Experience"

Our son has thrived at Kings Meadow School. The 'Attachment Aware' approach has been a game-changer for him. The school's values of connection, reflection, and resilience are evident in everything they do.

"Some Concerns"

We're still getting used to the school's approach, which can be quite different from what we're used to. While we appreciate the emphasis on independence, we're not sure it's always the best approach for our child. The facilities are great, though!

"Best Decision We Ever Made"

We're so grateful to have found Kings Meadow School for our daughter. The staff are caring and committed to helping the children overcome their challenges. The facilities are excellent and we love the emphasis on social skills and independence.

"Moved Mountains"

Kings Meadow School worked wonders for our son, who had struggled in his previous school. The staff were patient and supportive, and the school's programmes, such as Rocksteady, really helped him build confidence. The only reason we moved him to a new school was for geographical reasons.
