About Denewood Academy

Denewood Academy offers full-time education for permanently excluded young people aged between 7-14 years old from mainstream schools. The academy aims to reignite a love of learning and to prepare children for the next steps of their education that is appropriate to their needs.

"Fantastic Support from the Team!"

I've been blown away by the dedication and commitment of the staff at Denewood Academy. My child was struggling to adjust after a permanent exclusion, but the team has been amazing in helping them rebuild their confidence and love of learning. The trauma-informed approach has made a real difference.

"Some Progress, but Room for Improvement"

My child has been at Denewood Academy for a few months now, and while there have been some positive developments, I feel that the pace of progress has been slower than expected. The staff are friendly and willing to listen, but I would like to see more consistency in the teaching and a clearer plan for supporting children with additional needs.

"A Newfound Love of Learning!"

My child was struggling in mainstream school, but since joining Denewood Academy, there's been a complete turnaround. The curriculum is engaging, and the staff are passionate about helping the children succeed. The values of confidence, challenge, curiosity, character, and creativity are really evident in everything they do.

"A Fresh Start for My Child"

I was hesitant at first, but Denewood Academy provided my child with a safe and supportive environment to restart their education. The daily timetable and facilities were great, and the staff were always available to talk. My child has made some fantastic friends and is now excited about learning again.
