About Salterford House School

We believe that all children thrive on an all-round education within a caring and supportive environment. We are an independent preparatory (2-11 years) school on the outskirts of Nottingham, with a family feel and passion for enabling children to do their best.

"Wonderful all-round education"

We've been so impressed with Salterford House School. Our daughter loves learning in the beautiful rural surroundings and the small class sizes have really helped her thrive. The staff are all so supportive and we appreciate the emphasis on music, sport and drama as part of the curriculum.

"A real home from home"

My son settled in immediately at Salterford House and we couldn't be happier with the school. The family feel is just right and the staff go above and beyond to support the children. We love the Special Needs Hub too, which has made a huge difference to our family.

"A mixed experience"

We moved our children to Salterford House about 3 years ago and had a bit of a mixed experience. The teachers were always supportive and the facilities are lovely, but we did find the school's approach to discipline to be a bit inconsistent at times. Overall, though, our children did well and we're grateful for the education they received.
