About Sawley Junior School

Sawley Junior School is a nurturing and inclusive school where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to flourish. Academic achievement is important, but it is only one part of what we do. We are equally passionate about developing character—helping our children to grow into confident, respectful, resilient young people who are ready not just for the next stage of their education, but for life beyond school.

"A Mixed Experience"

We moved to Sawley Junior School when my child was in Year 2, and while the facilities are excellent and the staff are generally very supportive, I feel that the school could do more to engage with parents. My child did make some great friends, but the curriculum was occasionally a bit too focused on exams.
