About Chipping Ongar Primary School

Chipping Ongar Primary School is a Primary School serving the needs of approximately 210 children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. In a caring and well-ordered environment all children will achieve their own potential: academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and aesthetically. We are also home to Maple Class, an enhanced provision for children with severe learning difficulties (SLD).

"Some Disappointments"

Overall, I am satisfied with the education provided by Chipping Ongar Primary School. However, I have some concerns about the school's approach to homework and the limited options for extracurricular activities. I would like to see some improvements in these areas.

"Excellent Education and Facilities"

I am thoroughly impressed with the school's high standards of education and facilities. The school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education, including sports and arts activities, is fantastic. My child has made excellent progress and is thriving at the school.

"A Great School Experience"

My child attended Chipping Ongar Primary School for three years and had a fantastic experience. The school's focus on developing a growth mindset and celebrating effort and progress was wonderful to see. I would highly recommend the school to any parent.

"A Home Away from Home"

I have been blown away by the warm welcome and inclusive atmosphere at Chipping Ongar Primary School. The school's values of Be Resilient, Be Respectful and Be Responsible are truly evident in every aspect of school life. My child loves the school club options and has made lifelong friends.
