Prince William School

Prince William School is a secondary school and sixth form located on Herne Road in Oundle, Northamptonshire. Founded in 1971 and originally named Oundle Upper School, it was renamed shortly after opening in honor of Prince William of Gloucester, who inaugurated the school and tragically died soon after. The school serves as the main secondary education provider for much of East Northamptonshire, drawing students from various local villages and primary schools. It transitioned to an academy in 2015 and is part of the East Midlands Academy Trust. The school offers education from Year 7 through to sixth form, with a broad curriculum supported by specialized departments including Maths, Science, Drama, Humanities, Design, English, Languages, Music, and Computer Science. Facilities include a dedicated Applied Learning Centre for sixth form students and updated modular teaching blocks. Prince William School is recognized for its commitment to high educational standards and was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in 2020.
