About Highlees Primary School

Highlees Primary School has a long and strong history of serving the local community and of teaching generations of families. We are a two-form entry school with children from Reception through to Year 6 learning in an environment that engages, focuses and inspires them to do well. We aim to provide all pupils with a stimulating and inclusive educational environment in which everyone feels safe, respected and supported to grow and develop to their full potential.

"Some great aspects, but could improve communication"

I've been happy with the care my child has received at Highlees, but sometimes find it hard to get information about what's going on in the school. The curriculum is engaging, but I'd like more details about the specific learning goals for each term. Overall, it's a good school, but needs a bit more work.

"Wonderful school, great facilities!"

I've been so impressed with Highlees. The Community HUB is such a great resource, and my child loves attending the Toddler Group there. The whole school has a really welcoming atmosphere, and I love how they celebrate our cultural diversity.

"Outstanding education, wonderful memories!"

My daughter attended Highlees many years ago, and I was so impressed with the education she received. The school's values of 'Where children believe they can, because teachers know they can' really shone through. She's now an accomplished young woman, and I know the school played a huge part in her success.
