About Ark Ayrton Primary Academy

We are a two form entry primary school and nursery, offering a great education for local children in Portsmouth. At Ark Ayrton we have high expectations of our children and what they can achieve. Our priority is to ensure all children are safe, happy and learning well at all times.

"A great starting point for our child's education"

We've been really happy with the progress our child has made at Ark Ayrton. The staff are all very supportive, and the school's values of hard work and kindness align perfectly with our own family values. I do wish there were more opportunities for parent engagement, but overall I think the school is off to a great start.

"Excellent all-round experience"

I've been really impressed with the way the school supports our child's learning and wellbeing. The staff are always friendly and approachable, and the facilities are great - my child loves using the Chromebooks in class. We've had a fantastic experience at Ark Ayrton so far, and I'm grateful for the opportunities they're giving our child.

"Some promising aspects, but areas for improvement"

We're still relatively new to the school, but so far we've been pleased with the quality of teaching and the enthusiasm of the staff. However, I do think the school could do more to communicate with parents about what's going on - we often feel a bit left in the dark. I'm hoping that as our child gets older, the school will become more responsive to parental concerns.

"A true community feel"

We were part of the school community for several years, and I always felt welcome and supported. The staff went above and beyond to help our child succeed, and we loved the emphasis on extracurricular activities - my child made some great friends through the school's sports teams. I'd highly recommend Ark Ayrton to any family looking for a nurturing and inclusive environment.
