About Hartland High School

Hartland High School, located at 125 Hartland Road, Reading, Berkshire, is an academy for pupils aged 11-19 years. It was established on 1 September 2006 following the closure of its predecessor, Thamesbridge College, which was formerly Ashmead School. The school offers a broad curriculum including technology, music, textiles, computing, physical education, history, geography, drama, PSHE, art, science, English, and mathematics. The school became part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust in January 2025, aiming to benefit from collaboration with other schools in the trust. The academy was renamed Hartland High School in September 2025 after a community consultation. Facilities include new buildings opened in 2010, with a focus on providing a supportive and inspirational environment. The school holds high expectations for students, emphasizing the mantra 'work hard and be kind'.
